Large abstract raven bentwood box
James has applied his own completely original abstract Raven design with an inspired "in verso" design to this large bentwood box. This unique application is perhaps his most challanging artistically as it requires the design to be both carved and painted in all areas except the "in verso" area which is painted in contrast only. This authentic bentwood box is simply a joy to hold and observe!
James Michels was on born July 29th 1969 in Merrit B.C., he is a highly accomplished Cree/Metis artist whos creations are held in high esteem by other artists and knowledgeable collectors.
